Reporters ask some stupid questions and often ask people who have no idea what they are talking about. Turn on the news and you can see these people offer opinions about almost any obscure question a reporter may ask. For example, “Do you think the president of Ethiopia should resign?” “Oh, yeah, absolutely.” You know the guy has no clue what he is talking about. Why would anyone care about what some guy on the street thinks anyway? If you can’t get an expert, don’t ask anyone to answer your silly questions; just show video of stuff.
Closely related to these moronic opinion questions are the obvious questions that reporters ask. For example, during a winter storm they might ask, “What do you think about this weather?”; answer, “It is pretty cold” or “There sure is a lot of snow.” Amazingly, this crap makes it on the news. What did Anderson Cooper think the guy would say, “It sure is hot”? Winter storms should not make the news in the winter because it is to be expected, it has been happening for millions of years. I could see if it was Amazon rainforest weather in Minnesota in February, that would be news! Another thing, why do they send the poor weather guy into storms, especially hurricanes? The satellite imagery is sufficient for me to believe that inclement weather is upon us. There is no need to send the man into danger!
