There are a lot of people who think they are strong; mental strength. Accomplishing goals does not mean you are strong; nor does having a successful career. Both things are positive but not necessarily indicative of strength.
Being strong means surviving hard times and driving forward without feeling sorry for yourself. Strong people don’t need the approval of others to feel good or know what is right. They aren’t hurt by other people’s words and opinions. They can function alone and don’t need a lot of emotional support to live.
Strong people don’t hurt other people to feel strong. They don’t blame others for their problems. They learn from their mistakes and are better as a result of them. Being strong means being persistent, not stubborn. Strong people change when the facts suggest they should. Being strong is hard in today’s politically correct, fake and emotionally needy world.
